Xhaka's screamer at Hull wins Arsenal Goal of the Month

Granit Xhaka's brilliant long-range strike against Hull City has been voted as Arsenal's September Goal of the Month. The Swiss midfielder collected the ball 35 yards out at the KCOM Stadium, before blasting home an unstoppable drive into the top left-hand corner as the  Gunners coasted home with a 4-1 win . Laurent Koscielny's overhead kick against Southampton finished in second place, with Theo Walcott's well-worked goal against Chelsea in third.

Iwobi set to sign extension with Arsenal

Nigerian youngster Alex Iwobi is set to get a new bumper contract at Arsenal - just six months after his last deal, reports the Daily Mirror. The 20-year old signed an agreement worth £25,000-a-week in April but is now in line for a further extension, which underlines him becoming a fixture in the first team this season. Iwobi has impressed for the Gunners this season, and returned straight back to the starting lineup after returning from a three-week injury he suffered on the opening weekend of the season He has been so good this season that he has impressed the club's top brass and manager Arsene Wenger so much with his progress, and will be rewarded with a big rise and another improved contract if he keeps it up. Iwobi has been one of Wenger’s best recent success stories and Arsenal want to tie him down for the long term and take him up to a good first-team salary. Official: Udinese appoint Del Neri as new boss

Serie A outfit Udinese have officially confirmed the appointment of Luigi Del Neri as the club's new head coach following the dismissal of former coach Beppe Iachini. The Zebrette fired Iachini on Sunday after a poor start to the season, and the former Juventus Coach immediately emerged as favourite for the job. “Udinese Calcio announce they have entrusted Luigi Del Neri with the first team. “The Friulian Coach has signed a one-year contract, with the option for a second, and will be unveiled at a Press conference on Tuesday." a statement on Udinese’s official website read.
