Bournemouth agree deal to sign Stoke's Marc Wilson

Bournemouth have agreed a transfer fee with Stoke City to sign defender Marc Wilson.
Cherries manager Eddie Howe confirmed after the 3-1 home defeat to Manchester United that his club had had a bid accepted by the Potters, which is understood to be £2m, for the Republic of Ireland international. 
The transfer is now likely to be completed in the next 48 hours as long as the player agrees personal terms and passes a medical.
Howe told Sky Sports: "We have agreed a fee and are waiting for the formalities to be completed."
Should the deal go through, 28-year-old Wilson, who has two years remaining on his contract with Stoke, will return to a club at which he spent two separate periods on loan in 2007.
Wilson recently appeared to hit out at Potters boss Mark Hughes over his lack of game time during a clash with supporters on Twitter, after which Hughes said the player had expressed frustration in the wrong way.
"It's fair to say that Marc feels his future lies elsewhere and it's fair to say I probably agree with him," Hughes said last week.

"Sometimes players can be frustrated with a perceived lack of opportunity and that's the case with Marc. He maybe expressed himself in the wrong way."
Wilson signed for Stoke from Portsmouth in 2010 and has made over 150 appearances for the Potteries club, but only one of those came in the Premier League last season.
