Ligue 1 club Nice have announced the capture of Brazil international defender Dante from Bundesliga outfit Wolfsburg on Tuesday.
Dante spent just a single season with the Wolves, having joined from Bayern Munich at the start of last term. The defender was a key player for Wolfsburg last term, starting 33 matches, including 23 in the Bundesliga and nine in the Champions League.
Nice revealed the 32-year-old successfully completed his medical late on Monday night, but are yet to divulge any other details regarding the deal, such as how much they paid or how long his contract will run for.
Despite being part of Wolfsburg for a relatively short time, Dante took time out to thank the club and its fans for his time there.
"Although I only played in Wolfsburg for one year, I had a really wonderful and educational time," he told the club's official website.
"I gained a lot of new friends and leave here with some great memories. I am very grateful to VfL for the opportunity to present myself at the very highest level in the Bundesliga and in the Champions League.
"I wish my former colleagues, VfL Wolfsburg and all the fans the greatest of success and I hope our paths cross again soon on the international stage."
