Arsenal, PSG managers react to Parc des Princes stalemate

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger and his opposite number in the 2016/17 UEFA Champions League opening day fixture Unai Emery of Paris Saint Germaine have both reacted to the score draw at the Parc des.
Alexis Sanchez salvaged a point for Arsenal from their limp Champions League opener against the Parisians as the North London who have failed to win any of their last three Champions League group openers extended their unbeaten in their 13 away games against French clubs in European competition.
Speaking after the encounter, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said: "We wanted to start at a high pace and after a minute we are 1-0 down. For 20 minutes we were outpaced, they started much better than us but we were resilient.
"We played much better in the second half, they dropped a bit as well. We pushed very high and were vulnerable to the counter attack but it's a good point for us.
"Away from home you have to battle up front and Alexis Sanchez did well. He was isolated at times and in the second half it was easier for him.
"I couldn't work out the red cards. Giroud swears to me that he did nothing at all. We will look at it again. I believe Giroud." Wenger is quoted as saying on BBC Sports.
A disappointed Emery who made known his sour feelings in an interview on the club's official website said: "I’m not happy with the result, but I’m happy with the way we played.
"We created seven clear-cut chances. Cavani? I have every confidence in him. He creates a lot of chances and we will win with him.
"We played very compact and had a good pressing game. As long as we’re playing this way, we are on the right track." Emery stated.
Up next for Wenger's Arsenal is a Premier League trip to Hull on Saturday while Emery and his troops play again in Ligue 1 on Friday at Caen.
The Gunners' next Champions League game is at home to Basel on 28 September. PSG play away to Ludogorets.
