Brazilian defender David Luiz will wear jersey number 30 after he re-signed for Chelsea on transfer deadline day.
The 29-year-old who left Stamford Bridge two years ago completed a £32m return to the Blues from Paris Saint German and declared his happiness to reunite with his old teammates whom he played four times in the UEFA Champions League.
“We need to win again,” Luiz told Chelsea TV. “I have the hunger to win. Of course I want to win the Premier League and of course I want to win all the titles again.
“I am here because I have ambition to play for a big club, and when you play for a big club you need to think about winning every single match.”
The Brazilian wore the number four shirt in his first spell at Chelsea, which now belongs to Cesc Fabregas, so he was handed the number 30 shirt while fellow deadline-day arrival from Forentina Marcos Alonso will wear the number three vacated by Ghanaian left back Baba.
Luiz, 29 won nine trophies in his two year sojourn to France with Paris Saint German.
