Iheanacho wins CNN Goal of the Week contest

The star of 19-year-old Kelechi Iheanacho continues to shine brighter and brighter. The young forward who scored the only goal witch which the Super Eagles downed the Taifa Stars of Tanzania has won another accolade – the CNN Goal of the Week award.
On the CNN Twitter page was published, “Congratulations to the latest CNN Goal of the Week winner, Kelechi Iheanacho!”
That goal, a sweet strike from outside the box was the only shot that Tanzania goalkeeper allowed past even though the Super Eagles had 14 shots on target in the encounter.
Though the result had no real meaning as the Eagles had lost out to Egypt in the qualification for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations Cup that is scheduled for January in Gabon.
Iheanacho boasted a goals-per-minute ratio that was the best in Europe's top 5 leagues last season as he finished the season with 14 goals, second only to Sergio Aguero.
