Manchester City transfer review: Iheanacho,Toure survive Pep’s axe

After a busy summer transfer window at Manchester City where there were major arrivals as well as shocking exits, Nigeria’s Kelechi Iheanacho and Ivory Coast’s Yaya Toure who before the shake up at the Etihad were considered prospective casualties.
Pep Guardiola’s first major headache at the Etihad after taking up the coaching reins at Manchester City was making additions and subtractions to his playing staff -his biggest decision would be sending out the club’s former number 1 Joe Hart on loan.
In the just concluded summer transfer window, the Manchester City boss brought in nine players for a combined fee of £147.1m.
Noteable names like Ilkay Gundogan from Borussia Dortmund, John Stones from Everton and Claudio Bravo from Barcelona all found their way to the Etihad while some of the Citizens’ long-serving players like Joe Hart, Martin Demichelis and Samir Nasri were shown the exit door after being found suplus to requirements.
