UCL: Ronaldo to play 90 minutes at Sporting - Zidane



Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has confirmed that he wants to play Cristiano Ronaldo for 90 minutes against the striker's Sporting CP.
Ronaldo played for an hour against Osasuna at the weekend - his first match since his knee injury in the Euro 2016 final against France in July.
"He is ready to play and we want him to be involved as much as possible,
"The idea is to play him for 90 minutes, we have no concerns but we are also adaptable.
"It will be a special match for Ronaldo (against his former club), that is natural." " said Zidane in his pre-match press conference.as quoted on football-espana.
Meanwhile, Ronaldo who has never failed to score against a former club in Europe says Wednesday's UEFA Champions League clash against his former club Sporting CP will be a special match against a special team.

"It's a special match, it's a special team. I wanted to draw Sporting again, because I think they have a good team, they have a good coach, and it will be another special moment in my life.

"I've played against Sporting before in the Champions League, against Benfica too, and against Porto. To play Sporting again is a privilege for me." Ronaldo told UEFA.com
