James Rodriguez prefers a transfer to Chelsea

James Rodriguez’s preference is to join Chelsea after the Colombian was told by Real Madrid that he can leave in January, according to reports.
The Daily Mail claims that the 25-year-old is keen on a to move to Antonio Conte’s side, although he has also been linked with Arsenal, Manchester United and Juventus.
It’s reported that Rodriguez’s agent, Jorge Mendes, is now putting together plans which pave the way for the midfielder’s exit next month.
Madrid are ready to cash in on the Rodriguez following the news that their two-window transfer ban has been reduced to just the upcoming window in January, leaving them free to sign players next summer.
Colombia-based newspaper El Tiempo claimed on Tuesday that Rodriguez was in Bogota to obtain a UK work permit ahead of his expected move to the Premier League.
Following Madrid’s Club World Cup victory in Japan, Rodriguez announced that he has received offers to leave Madrid in January and is now considering his future.
‘I can’t assure I will stay at Real Madrid,’ said the midfielder.
