Man City Team News: Injuries, suspensions and line-up vs Liverpool
Manchester City's final game of 2016 could be one of their toughest as they face second-place Liverpool at Anfield on Saturday.
Pep Guardiola's men are on a three-match winning streak in the league, but the Reds are unbeaten at home in 16 fixtures in a stadium they have made a fortress under Jurgen Klopp.

The prize for the winner will be guaranteed second place heading into 2017 behind leaders Chelsea.

MAN CITY INJURIES

John Stones is unlikely to be fit to face Liverpool after picking up a bruised knee early in City's 3-0 victory at Hull, but Pablo Zabaleta has fully recovered from his knock.
Leroy Sane missed the last match as a precaution and remains a doubt to be fully fit to feature, while Ilkay Gundogan and Vincent Kompany are long-term absentees with knee ligament injuries. Fabian Delph's not expected to feature even though he's believed to be fit.

MAN CITY SUSPENSIONS

There are no City players out with suspension. Sergio Aguero is back after serving his four-match ban for his reckless red card against Chelsea.
Aleksandar Kolarov is on four yellow cards and will miss the game against Burnley if booked.

Liverpool don't have any players suspended for the clash with third-place City, who are one point behind them in the table.

MAN CITY POTENTIAL STARTING LINE-UP

Guardiola is expected to stick with four at the back against Liverpool, as he did in wins over Watford, Arsenal and Hull. Stones' expected absence means Kolarov should return to the starting XI after being brought on as a substitute on Monday.
Yaya Toure's impressive return to form continues and he is expected to be joined in the centre of midfield by Fernandinho and David Silva.

Kelechi Iheanacho scored off the bench vs Hull but it would be a huge shock if he was chosen to start ahead of Aguero, who's scored 16 goals in 19 games for City in 2016-17. The Argentine should be supported by Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling on the wings.

LIVERPOOL DOSSIER

Liverpool are enjoying one of their strongest seasons in recent memory in Klopp's second campaign in charge. With an attack compromising of Philippe Coutinho, Sadio Mane, Divock Origi, Roberto Firmino, Daniel Sturridge and Adam Lallana, they've scored six more goals than any other team in the Premier League after 18 games.

Coutinho's absence in December hasn't harmed their competitive streak, although Guardiola - who attended Tuesday's 4-1 win over Stoke - must be relieved the talented Brazilian won't be fit to feature despite returning to training.

Liverpool's defence is definitely their weak spot - they've shipped more goals (21) than 15th-placed Middlesbrough (20). But City aren't exactly clean sheet kings, having only kept three since the competition kicked off in August.
