REPORT: Inter join John Obi Mikel race

Jon Obi Mikel Inter Milan have reportedly joined the race for out-of-favour Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel.
The Nigerian has not featured at all for the Blues this season, having reportedly upset manager Antonio Conte by deciding to do duty with the Super Eagles at the Olympic Games.
A number of clubs have been linked with Mikel, including Manchester United, Watford, AC Milan and some clubs in China.

Now La Gazzetta dello Sport report Inter have joined the race, with new manager Stefano Pioli reportedly telling the club that he needs just one player in the January transfer window – a defensive midfielder.
Mikel is the cheap option – he has been offered on a free loan with an option to buy at the end of the season.
But Pioli is also monitoring the situations of Manchester United’s out-of-favour French international Morgan Schneiderlin, as well as Marseille’s Lassana Diarra.
